This program can help you convert any video file into a DVD-ready folder and burn it onto a disc. It allows you to merge several source video files into a single DVD disc that you can play on any standard DVD player. You can customize all the important parameters related to the transcoding process, like the TV system and the aspect ratio.
The program allows you to add one or more video files to create a list. You will be shown related information about each of them, such as frame size, size on disk, video duration and frame rate. Unfortunately, even though the program supports several more video formats – including MPEG and DAT – the add dialog only allows you to select AVI, DivX, DIV or XviD videos. (You can, however, make use of wildcards in this dialog – e.g. “*.*” – to display and add videos in other formats.) Moreover, you can switch between DVD-5 and DVD-9 disc formats, and have real-time information about the remaining space.
When your video list is ready, you can configure the output settings. You can choose the TV system between PAL and NTSC, the aspect ratio between 4:3 and 16:9, and change the default temporary folder. You can also select your preferred DVD recorder – in case you have more than one available – and the burning speed, as well as add a DVD label. Finally, you can set the program to shut down your PC automatically once the process has finished. more
